Important Information
PLEASE REVIEW THE BELOW INFORMATION BEFORE COMPLETING YOUR ORDER
- Compatibility Notice: the Rebelcell Start is not suitable for use with (outboard) engines utilizing a charging coil instead of an alternator. The output voltage from such engines is unstable, and the charging capacity is insufficient for charging the Start effectively.
- Optimal Charging Recommendation: for peak battery performance, we recommend charging the Start with the Rebelcell 14.6V3A battery charger before the first use or when the Start is deeply discharged. Under normal usage, the Start is recharged via the outboard alternator. If your outboard’s regulator malfunctions, it may lead to battery damage, and any resulting damages will void the warranty.
- Intended Use: the Start is specifically designed as a starter battery for outboards up to 250 HP. It is not suitable for starting other machinery or equipment. Additionally, it is not intended to serve as a power supply for marine electronics, depth sounders, lighting, etc. For such equipment, always connect to a separate battery.
- Waterproof Feature: The Start offers an IP67 waterproof rating. To prevent any issues, install it in a below-deck battery compartment and shield it from rain or water exposure.
- Storage Recommendations: when the battery is not in use for extended periods, charge it to approximately 12.5V and disconnect it from your outboard to prevent accidental discharge. Ensure the battery is stored in a dry location with temperatures above 0°C.
