Polartec® Power Dry® is the ideal two-component material for the base layer of thermal underwear, characterized by its very high air permeability. The inner surface of Polartec® Power Dry® pulls moisture away from the skin through the capillary effect, while the outer layer distributes it over the surface for accelerated evaporation, providing evaporative cooling in warm weather and insulating properties in cooler weather.
Polartec® Power Dry® dries 2 times faster than natural cotton. This fabric features Odor Resistant® technology, which provides antibacterial protection and prevents odor. Also, Polartec® Power Dry® has the highest UV protection (Ultraviolet Protection Factor) – UPF50+. The material is completely hypoallergenic. The density of the material is 125 g/m². Composition – 100% Polyester. Products made of this fabric are machine washable.

Polartec® Power GRID® is a biocomposite material with a mesh structure. Things made of it have a fairly high breathability and the most efficient moisture management. This is due to the special notches on the fleecy inner side of this biocomposite fabric, this material perfectly retains heat while keeping your skin dry. Items made of this material are an excellent choice as a basic outer layer for cool weather and high physical activity. However, they will also be good for static tasks. The mesh structure of this material reduces the weight of the fabric, which makes it lightweight. In addition, the sparse structure allows this material to be compressed more than usual, while its thermal insulation qualities do not change. The mesh structure also increases moisture absorption efficiency by creating contact points between the fabric and the skin, while improving vapor permeability in the spaces between the contact areas. Polartec® Power GRID® features Odor Resistant® technology, which provides antibacterial protection and prevents odor. The material is completely hypoallergenic. The composition is 93% Polyester + 7% Spandex. Products made of this fabric are machine washable.

Polartec® Power Stretch® ProTM is a highly stretchable, four-way stretch material with increased stretch resistance without deforming. Unique in design, this biocomposite fabric consists of two layers: a stable outer surface made of nylon, which reduces friction with other layers of clothing and increases its resistance to abrasion, is combined with a soft inner moisture-wicking layer with heat-insulating velor pile. Polartec® Power Stretch® ProTM fabric features Odor Resistant® technology, which provides antibacterial protection and prevents unpleasant odors. The material is completely hypoallergenic. The density of the material is 131 g/m². The composition is 52% Polyester + 10% Spandex and 38% Nylon. Products made of this fabric are machine washable.

Why is Polartec® Power Wool™ a great material for the base layer of thermal underwear?

Wool naturally resists odor, regulates temperature and controls moisture, making it ideal for use in the base layer. However, wool in its purest form also has disadvantages: it dries slowly, is prone to shrinkage, and is short-lived. Polartec® Classic 200® is a high-quality bulky reversible fleece. Lightweight, wear-resistant, elastic, warm and breathable material that, unlike natural fabrics, does not accumulate but removes excess moisture from the body, providing comfort. In terms of thermal performance, Polartec® Classic 200® is twice as warm as sheep’s wool and more than three times as warm as cotton per gram. Thanks to the anti-pilling treatment, it does not pilling. The material is completely hypoallergenic. The density of the material is 251 g/m². The composition is 100% Polyester. Polartec® Thermal Pro® is a high-quality, bulky, double-sided fleece that is warm, lightweight, moisture-repellent and made up of two layers. Polartec® High Loft® is the most functional and technically advanced fabric among thermal insulation materials. It is a lightweight, ultra-modern fleece with a long pile that imitates animal fur. In the latest developments of Polartec® High Loft®, a unique ratio of thermal insulation qualities to the weight and volume of the material itself has been achieved – very light and very warm, Polartec® High Loft® combines elasticity, wear resistance and the ability to breathe perfectly. It wicks excess moisture away from the body and dries quickly. Polartec® Windbloc® is a combination of thermal insulation fleece and a polyurethane membrane, in other words, it combines the thermal insulation, wind/waterproofing and breathability qualities of an outer layer. Lightweight and wear-resistant, it wicks away moisture from the body, keeps moisture out and blocks wind at 60km/h by 98%. Thanks to the anti-pilling treatment, it does not pucker. The density of the material is 251 g/m². The composition is 100% Polyester. Products made of this Polartec® Windbloc® fabric are machine washable. Products made of Polartec® Windbloc® are popular both in the tourist environment and among the military, due to the unpretentiousness of this type of membrane to washing and care.

PrimaLoft® is one of the world’s best microfiber synthetic insulation products, which was developed for the US Army as an artificial substitute for goose down (the thermal resistance coefficient for goose down is 2.18, and for PrimaLoft® is 2.15). PrimaLoft® has high thermal insulation and water repellency, and its thermal insulation qualities hardly decrease in a humid environment – it will continue to keep you warm even when products made of it become wet. This material is breathable and allows moisture to evaporate. PrimaLoft® is very hardy and not afraid of compression at all – it can be compressed strongly, and this will not affect the quality and structure of the material, and in a short period of time it completely returns to its original volume. The density of the material is 100/133/200 g/m². The composition is 100% Polyester. Products made of this fabric are machine washable. Today, it is practically the standard of quality among microfiber synthetic heaters.

GELANOTS® is a leading global manufacturer of high-quality nylon and membranes, which is part of the Toyota Tsusho Corporation (Toyota Group, Japan). GELANOTS® nylon has increased wear resistance and is made on the principle of a poreless membrane (“breathes” and removes moisture from the body to the outside, while delaying the penetration of moisture inside). In the production of nylon, the most modern water-repellent impregnation S-DWR (Super Durable Water Re-pellent) of the 6th generation is used, which is introduced into the fabric structure during production, and not applied on top of it. The density of the material is 69/113 g/m². The composition is 100% Nylon. Products made of GELANOTS® fabric are machine washable.

TECHNOLOGIES

Pure Cool® is a “green technology” that uses fine jade stone particles. Jade is crushed to a state of dust and implanted into synthetic fibers. This entire process takes place before the production of raw materials, which are used to make fabric at the second stage. Pure Cool® gives a feeling of lowering the ambient temperature by 1-2 degrees Celsius (which is especially important in climates where there is no possibility of additional cooling of the body) and guarantees a longer time of wearing the item before the appearance of an unpleasant odor caused by the growth of bacteria.
This fabric dries quickly, is environmentally friendly and has UPF50+ UV protection.
